*Spark* is a book about how exercise affects not just the physical aspects of the body, but also mental health and the capacity to learn.

> If exercise came in pill form, it would be plastered across the front page, hailed as the blockbuster drug of the century.

## 2021-10-02
I started this book in 2020 but got bored reading it after a while – that's not to say I didn't like it, but just that I thought I would enjoy reading a different book more. Somebody recently made a [summary of it](https://www.greaterwrong.com/posts/qhz9wgTiEQcZCYWwT/book-review-spark-how-exercise-will-improve-the-performance) on LessWrong. It seems like most of the book is the similar to the first couple of chapters.

I do think it helped keep me motivated to exercise though and made me think more about how exercise makes me feel, like [Body By Science](https://ollybritton.com/notes/books/body-by-science/).
